Vibha Surya is an illustrator and designer from the beautiful Coromandel coastal city, Chennai, now based in Bangalore, India. She obtained a first class distinction for her master's degree in Children's Literature: Children's Illustration from Goldsmiths, University of London and a first class distinction bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from University of Madras.

Digital medium being forte with strong foundation in traditional medium, her work ranges from Picture books, book cover art to branding and invitation designs. She loves using textures in her art and is interested in humorous animal stories, diversity and inclusivity (especially disability) in picture books. 

Working over 30+ books, her clients include Penguin Random House, Harpercollins Publishers, Hachette Book Group, Scholastic, Room to Read, UNICEF. She also works as a Consultant Designer for Penguin Random House India. When not working, she can be found experimenting new recipes, gardening or working on her 'nth' new weaving or crochet project!
